Glass Animals have thrilled fans with their new single, “A Tear in Space (Airlock),” ahead of their much-anticipated fourth studio album, I LOVE YOU SO F**ING MUCH*, set to release on July 19. The moody, black-and-white music video accompanying the track, directed by Taylor Fauntleroy and Drew Kirsch, features lead singer Dave Bayley navigating an industrial wind tunnel, encapsulating the song's intense and atmospheric vibe. The track adds to the excitement of their ongoing Tour of Earth, announced in April, marking a significant moment in the band's evolving sound and artistic vision.
Adding to their celebrations, Glass Animals' previous hit, “Heat Waves,” achieved RIAA Diamond certification on the same day of the new single’s release, making it the first alternative track from an international band to reach this milestone. This accomplishment underscores the band’s global impact and continued success following their third album, Dreamland. The forthcoming album, written and produced entirely by Bayley, stems from his existential reflections on fame and success during the pandemic lockdown. Fans eagerly await to see how these themes are explored in the new 10-track record.
