The title itself is a clever play on Drake's signature titling format, reminiscent of tracks like "6PM in New York" and "4pm in Calabasas," while also serving as a nod to Tupac Shakur, whose birthday falls on June 16. In typical Kendrick fashion, the lyrics don't mince words, as he takes direct aim at Drake's persona and tactics.
"Have you ever thought that OVO was working for me? / Fake bully, I hate bullies, you must be a terrible person / Everyone inside your team is whispering that you deserve it / Can’t Toosie Slide up outta this one, it’s just gon’ resurface," he asserts. But Kendrick doesn't stop there. He offers some pointed advice to Drake, calling him out for playing dirty with propaganda and relying on Twitter bots to boost his image.
