Tesla's much-anticipated Cybertruck has encountered another obstacle in its rollout journey. Following multiple production delays, the electric vehicle manufacturer is now facing a recall of all its $61,000 Cybertrucks, totaling 3,878 units.

The recall was announced by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and highlights a critical issue with the accelerator pedal. The pedal may dislodge and become trapped within the car’s interior trim, potentially preventing drivers from braking.

Tesla was informed of the problem by a customer in March, and a second claim surfaced shortly after. In response, the company voluntarily recalled its Cybertrucks and plans to address the issue before shipping out its new batch of units.

The impacted vehicles were produced between November 2023 and April 2024. Despite the recall, Tesla has assured customers that it is "not aware of any collisions, injuries, or deaths relating to this condition."

Tesla's quick response in recalling the Cybertruck is a positive step towards ensuring customer safety. The company will need to resolve this issue effectively to maintain trust and confidence in its futuristic electric vehicle.
